Bitcoin Mayer Multiple today ← is the bottom in?
The Mayer Multiple is Bitcoin's price divided by its 200-day simple moving average, popularised by Trace Mayer. It measures how stretched price is from its long-term trend in either direction.
How it's computed
Daily close divided by the mean of the last 200 daily closes. Readings under 0.8 mean price sits more than 20% below trend; above 2.4 it is more than 140% above.
Reading it
Every bear-market low since 2014 printed a Mayer Multiple under 0.8, usually for weeks. The bottom signal on this site fires while the multiple is below 0.8.

Questions
What Mayer Multiple marks a Bitcoin bottom?
Historically the cycle lows came with the multiple between 0.5 and 0.8. Below 0.8 has been the accumulation zone; it has never stayed there for more than a few months.
Is the Mayer Multiple useful for tops?
Yes: readings above 2.4 have coincided with blow-off tops, though in later cycles the peaks were lower (around 2.0 in 2021).
